Delivering a CAT B Commercial Refurbishment for Immediate Occupation
Harvey Electrical was appointed by Ei Projects to deliver the complete electrical installation as part of the CAT B refurbishment of a vacant industrial unit in Dorset on behalf of eXtreme Assets LLP.
The objective was to transform an outdated distribution facility into a modern commercial premises capable of accommodating a wide range of prospective tenants. Working collaboratively with Ei Projects throughout the design and construction phases, Harvey Electrical delivered coordinated electrical services that supported the redevelopment from concept through to commissioning and handover.
This project demonstrates Harvey Electrical's capability in delivering commercial refurbishment projects where technical coordination, programme management and quality of delivery are essential to creating investment-ready commercial space.

The Challenge
The existing building, formerly occupied as a distribution warehouse, required significant refurbishment to meet modern commercial expectations and CAT B standards.
The project demanded the complete modernisation of both warehouse and office accommodation while coordinating the electrical installation with the wider building refurbishment and evolving design.
Key project challenges included:
Delivering a complete CAT B electrical refurbishment within an existing industrial building.
Supporting the design development from RIBA Stage 4 through to construction.
Coordinating warehouse and office installations within a phased refurbishment programme.
Providing flexible electrical infrastructure suitable for future tenant requirements.
Integrating life safety systems and mechanical services into the refurbished building.
Delivering the project while maintaining programme certainty throughout the construction phase.
